(Washington: Martha Raddatz) The 136 cruise missiles and warplane strikes against Libyan targets featured; scenes shown of two facilities hit. [US Africa Command commander Gen. Carter HAM†- says no Libyan aircraft are now operating and no effort has been made to go after the leader.] The expansion of the no-fly zone noted; map shown. A statement from British foreign secretary about targeting Kadhafi quoted and the problems on tracking mobile surface-to-air missile systems in Libya noted.

[OBAMA - says the international community rallied to prevent atrocities; states the military action is in support of U.N. resolution 1973.] [On "This Week," Joint Chiefs chairman Adm. Mike MULLEN - refuses to speculate on the timetable for the no-fly zone.] The length of the no-fly zone in Iraq recalled.
