(Baghdad: William La Jeunesse) The day’s events in Iraq featured; details given about the struggles facing Iraq’s governing council to finish an interim constitution, a list of constitution “sticking points,” including the role of Islam in the national government, the structure of the new presidency, the teaching of the Kurdish language in schools, and the number of legislative seats reserved for women. [Iraqi Governing Council member Mouwafak al-RUBAIE- says the council is learning to compromise.] [Iraqi Governing Council member Samir Shaker MAHMOUD- says failure is not an option.]
