(Baghdad: Steve Harrigan) The day’s events in Iraq reviewed; details given about a daylight ground attack on a police station in Fallujah, Iraq, by a band of guerrillas who freed prisoners, the government’s decision to allow the Red Cross to visit former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein to check his status, and the seal placed by US Army engineers over the “spider hole” where Saddam was captured to keep tourists out; scenes shown of gunmen in the streets and the “spider hole.”
