(Los Angeles: Trace Gallagher) The debate over the level of rights victims’ families should have in court proceedings featured; details given about victims’ advocates who have proposed a 28th Amendment to the Constitution that would allow victims’ families to be at all courtroom events concerning their relative and the objections from defense attorneys to such a law. [Victims’ advocate Harriet SALARNO†- claims the defendant’s family is allowed at the court and the victim’s family should be allowed the same access.] [Defense attorney Steve CRON†- states that some family members will be witnesses and could be influenced by other testimony heard in the courtroom.]
