(Studio) Senate subcommittee reported beginning hearings today on legislature aimed at determining when human life begins; if passed, bill said possibly reversing Supreme Court decision on abortion.

(DC) Bill 5.158 quoted on screen, discussed as it would affect various means of birth control as well as abortion. [Dr. Hymie GORDON - claims life begins at conception.] Opposing viewpoints noted expressed by demonstrators. [PROTESTERS - chant.] Pro-abortion demonstration outside shown. Congress research service and attys. said warning subcommittee that 5.158 is unconstitutional; details given.
