[Govs. James RHODES, Robert ORR, Pierre Du PONT, Richard THORNBURGH - praise President's condition, economy plan.] Reagan's telephone conversation with Representative Eugene Atkinson while the latter was on talk show in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, noted; conversation heard. [Dr. Benjamin AARON - discusses Reagan's continued examinations and improvement.] Aides' defense of President's continued seclusion outlined.

(DC) Reagan's personal lobby of congress members for support next week of his budget cut proposals discussed; choice in House between Democrat recommendations and legislature proposed by Representatives Phil Gramm and Delbert Latta examined. Support for latter bill by conservative Democratic Representatives, include their letter to fellow Democrats (quoted on screen), noted. President's additional lobbying plans mentioned.
