(DC) Apparent problems in Reagan administration over formation of foreign policy examined; conflict between Zbigniew Brzezinski and Cyrus Vance recalled. Power struggle between Secretary of State Alexander Haig and remainder of Reagan's staff examined. [January 22, HAIG - says President has given him clear role as vicar of foreign policy.] Haig's role with Richard Nixon, Henry Kissinger and NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) recalled; details with regard to his current power thrust outlined on screen. Recent "Time" magazine cover shown; criticism of State Department by Press Secretary James Brady quoted on screen. Continued criticism arising from Reagan's recent Canadian trip and Vice President George Bush's role over Haig now discussed. [HAIG - claims Nicaragua has been lost to Communists] [Following day, HAIG - retracts statement with regard to Nicaragua.] Reagan administration's foreign policy strategy outlined; potential for future conflict noted.
