(Phoenix: Jim Avila) The appearance of FBI agent Ken Williams on Capitol Hill to discuss the July 2001 "Phoenix memo" he wrote about suspicious activity by Middle Eastern men atending Arizona flight school reported. [FBI Ron MYERS - says Williams' word is "good as gold"; says the information had useful information in it.] Williams' tracking of Hani Hanjour and other terrorists noted. [Phoenix attorney Tom HUEDEL - says he was surprised the Williams memo was not looked at carefully.]

(Capitol Hill: Lisa Myers) Claims that both Attorney General John Ashcroft and FBI director Robert Mueller knew about the Williams memo but did not tell President Bush reported. [Majority leader Senator Thomas DASCHLE - says this is another reason to investigate.] [Senator Arlen SPECTER - says Mueller should have passed on the information immediately.] [White House Press Secretary Ari FLEISCHER - says nobody needed that memo after September 11.] [Senator Richard SHELBY - says there will be a thorough investigation.] [Representative Tom DeLAY - says terrorists do not need "an after-action report."]
