(Studio) Former Yippie Abbie Hoffman reported beginning his prison sentence today; details given.
REPORTER: John Chancellor
(NYC) Hoffman's surrender to begin sentence today examined; films shown. [HOFFMAN - says it's not a new experience for him.] His further comments about life and his surrender last year after several years as fugitive mentioned. [HOFFMAN - says underground life was nicer.] Minimum sentence he must serve and his attorney's planned appeal noted.
