Actor Martin LANDAU once said a character without emotions would have driven me crazy. I would have had to be lobotomized. That's why he turned down the role of Mr. Spock on Star Trek. Lando chose instead a less memorable part on Mission Impossible. Years of bad movies followed till his career was saved, ironically, by a film about bad movies. I'm ready now. Roll the cabinet. Martin Landau won an Oscar for that portrayal of Bela Lugosi in Edward Landale, died Saturday. He was 89....
