Public schools in West Virginia are closed indefinitely. About two hundred eighty thousand kids had a second day off today as nearly 20000 teachers continued a walkout. Their pay in West Virginia averages about forty five thousand dollars a year. That is roughly 13000 below the national average. This week, they were given a 2 percent raise for next year and 1 percent raises for the following two years. Teachers say that is not enough. And the strike will continue. On Monday....
